INVOCATION:
May my prayer, O my God, reach you through Saint Veron. Cast your eyes on me and have mercy on the state I am in, for you are infinitely good and merciful, and the prayers of your saints have all power over your heart.
So do, O my God, that returning sincerely to you, we deserve your attention to put an end to our evils through Our Lord Jesus Christ. So be it.
Saint Veron, deliver us from the tumors from which we suffer, we beg you with confidence.

PRAYER:
What have you done, oh good Jesus! to be condemned? What crime have you committed to be treated so unworthily? Ah! I am the cause of your suffering and death. I am the sinner for whom you gave your life; I am the crime which was to be atoned for by your death. It was I who opened the wounds with which your body is covered. How wonderful is this punishment! What a mystery in this decree which demands your death as the price of my redemption! The wicked sin, and the innocent pay for their sin; the wicked rebel against God, and the righteous are condemned; the saint suffers what the sinner deserved; the master pays the debts of the servant.
O Jesus overwhelmed with grief! I praise and glorify your ineffable love, by which you have consented to be hated by men in your passion. So be it.
