INVOCATION
Lord Jesus, who allowed Saint Rita to distribute her innumerable charities, we unite ourselves to her to sing your praises, to bless you and to deserve your particular protection.
O Blessed Saint Rita, we commend ourselves to your special protection. Obtain for us, through your intercession, the assistance of your grace. We implore you through Jesus Christ Our Lord. So be it.
Saint Rita, patron saint of desperate causes, pray for us.

ORAISON
In union with the side of Jesus Christ pierced with a spear, I offer you your one and only Catholic, Apostolic and Roman Church. Have mercy on her, Lord, and preserve in her the purity of faith and the immaculate glory of holiness: spread her over all the earth through the works of men who are truly apostolic. Give her pastors victory over the enemies of the faith, and all that is necessary for them to keep peace on earth.
In union with the right hand of Jesus, pierced with a nail, I offer you, Lord, all our benefactors, teachers, parents, allies, counselors, and friends, that you may grant them all that is pleasing to you and useful for their salvation.
In union with the left hand of Jesus, nailed also to the Cross, I offer you, O merciful Father, all my enemies, whom I love sincerely; and I humbly beg you to be kind to them and to give them glory for the reproaches they have laid upon me: a good name for the slanders they have made up against me, your love for the hatred they bear me and for the evil they wish me to do, all good things useful for their salvation, and eternal life.
In union with the wound on the right foot of Jesus, I offer you all those whom I must obey; that they may govern with fatherly care by word and example those who are subject to them. Sanctify them for this more and more, deliver them from all occasions of mortal sin, and help them in all their needs.
In union with the wound of the left foot of Jesus, I offer you all sinners whose souls are defiled by mortal sin, and beseech you to draw them mercifully to you and deliver them from this deplorable state.
By virtue of the sign of the Cross of Jesus, I present to you all the religious who are crucified to the world, and to whom the world is crucified. Have mercy on all religious orders, and let each of them live in conformity with their vocation.
In union with the mistreatment that Jesus endured, I offer and commend to you all the heresy and unfaithful who daily make your divine Son suffer the torment of scourging again. O Father of mercies, have mercy on the whole world: bring to the knowledge of the truth those peoples who do not know it, and lead the pagans and the people of Israel into the fold of the Church. I beg you, do not allow all those men who bear your image in their souls to fall into the abyss before your eyes, and the precious blood of your Son to be lost for them. I weep before you, O Lord, that so many of my brothers are far from you. I wish I could believe in you with their spirits, love you with their will, and serve you with all the strength they have at their disposal, but I can do nothing except humbly before your majesty my desires and my prayers.
I also offer you the prisoners, those who languish in the dungeons, the sick, those who are tempted or troubled, or who struggle against death. In union with the captivity, sadness, and agony that Jesus suffered in the Garden of Olives, I beg your goodness to grant them deliverance, consolation, salvation, help, and victory in all their needs, and a good death.
In union with the ignominious death that Jesus Christ suffered on the cross, I beg you to look favourably on the poor souls who are purified in Purgatory, and especially on those of N. N. who have more rights to my prayers. Soften their sufferings, open to them soon the gates of Heaven, and give them the happiness enjoyed by your holy angels.
In union with the thirst that Jesus Christ endured on the cross, I offer to you all those who ardently desire that I commend them to you in my prayers. Grant them what your will requires of them, and what can procure their salvation.
But I also want to make me, O my God, a living victim, and beg you to be willing to consume and destroy all my sins in the fire of that love which led Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life for me and die on the cross of the cruellest death. So be it.
