Saints healing physical illnesses
Saint Conrad is invoked against hernias, to be preserved and for their reduction. Saint Conrad was a wealthy lord of Piacenza, Italy. During a hunting trip, he involuntarily set a forest on fire. The damage was so extensive that he ruined himself completely paying them back. God chooses this moment to touch him with his grace and make him repent of his bloodthirsty tastes which made him love hunting above all else.
Saint Conrad retired to a monastery in Sicily and built the monks there until his death in 1351.
INVOCATION
Deign, O my God, to hear your servants who have recourse to your mercy and who address to you their humble prayers from the bottom of their heart, in order to obtain by the merits of Saint Conrad the cure of our ills which we humbly ask of you and with trust by the merits of Our Lord Jesus Christ. So be it.
Saint Conrad, who is an effective protector for those with hernias, pray for us.
PRAYER
In my distress, oh my God! I have recourse to you, who are the source of mercies, so that you may heal me: I shelter myself under your protection, and beg you to be a Savior for me: for if you want to be my judge, I cannot endure your looks. So be it.
