Saints healing physical illnessesSaint Remigius is especially invoked to heal the progressive weakening of eyesight.
INVOCATION:
Now Moses was herding the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and leading the flock behind the wilderness, he came to the mountain of God even to Horeb. And the angel of the LORD appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush; and he looked, and behold, the bush was all on fire; but he was not consumed. Then Moses said, "I will turn aside now, and I will see this great vision, and why the bush is not consumed. "And the Lord saw that Moses had turned aside to look; and God called him out of the midst of the bush, saying, "Moses, Moses. "And he answered:" Here I am. And God said, "Don't approach here. Take off the shoes of your feet; for the place where you are standing is holy ground. He also said, "I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face, because he was afraid to look to God.
Saint Remigius, protector of the afflicted, pray for me, heal me.
PRAYER:
So we thank you, oh my God! merciful benefactor, that through Jesus Christ your Son and our Lord, while we were still in nothingness, we were created by your power, and miraculously redeemed after being separated from you by sin. I give thanks to your merciful goodness, and I praise with all my heart the ineffable love with which you have loved us, poor and unworthy creatures that we are. So be it.
