SaintsPeople with congestion find in Saint Hugh a powerful help. He was one of the most illustrious Saints of the monastery of Cluny in which he entered very young. The overflowing charity of Saint Hugh urged him to take particular care of the poor for whom he always had clothes and food.
INVOCATION:
We beg you, Lord, that the intercession of Blessed Saint Hugh, Abbot of Cluny, make us agreeable to your majesty and obtain for us the cure of the fever which cruelly torments us. Help us, Lord Jesus, by the infinite goodness which made you sympathize with all our sufferings. We pray to you through Our Lord Jesus Christ. So be it.
Saint Hugh, who conquer congestion through your powerful intercession, pray for us.
PRAYER:
Lord, abandoned to myself, I languish in trouble and anguish; but I find a source of joy in the sacrifice that I make to you with my whole being. You don't want my death, how could I not gladly offer you my life? You accept, Lord, only living victims. May my offering therefore be accompanied by an invincible firmness, a deep humility, and a sincere renunciation of the flesh, a firm will to remain near your holy cross in a pious detachment, an incorruptible chastity, in the humility and simplicity of a child. So be it.
