The following prayer comes from the Cathedral of Saints Michael and Gudula in Brussels where a pretty statue of the Virgin called “ND. of Assumption and Deliverance ".
I glorify you, Most Holy Father, Creator God, because you have done great things in me and a child will be born of this human love which you have blessed.
Jesus, Word of God, who allow me to adore you under the charming features of the baby in the crib, I consecrate my little one to you, your brother. Enrich it with the most beautiful gifts of nature and of grace; may he be our joy on earth, your glory in eternity.
Holy Spirit, cover me with your shadow during these blessed months of waiting, so that nothing can harm my child and that his little soul is ready to become your sanctuary through holy baptism.
And you, Mary, Queen of mothers, please assist me at the hour of my deliverance. I accept in advance all my sufferings and ask you to offer them to God for my child.
My holy Guardian Angel, Holy Guardian Angel of my little one, watch over us both.

God, Creator of all things, who have, with the cooperation of the Holy Spirit, prepared the body and soul of the most glorious Virgin Mary to become a home worthy of your Divine Son, you who have also filled Saint John -Baptist of the Holy Spirit and made him tremble with joy in the womb of his mother Saint Elisabeth,
Listen, Lord, to the ardent plea that I address to you with a contrite heart, and look at the baseness of your servant.
I humbly and earnestly implore you, Lord, to keep and protect the child you have allowed me to conceive.
Lord, I belong to you: keep me, defend me against the wiles and malice of Satan.
May your great goodness and your mighty mercy deliver me happily.
May my child, the object of all my desires, come into the world in good and perfect health.
May he be born to be born into divine life through baptism.
May he serve you ceaselessly and glorify you in all things.
May he deserve, by your divine grace, to obtain eternal life at last.
So be it
