Most high, all powerful, good Lord
to you be praise, glory, honour and every blessing:
to thee alone are they due, O Most High,
and no man is worthy to name thee.

Praise be to you, my Lord,
with all your creatures, especially my brother Sun.
who is the day and by whom you illuminate us:
he is beautiful, radiant with great splendour,
and a symbol of you, the Most High.

Praise be to you, my Lord,
for sister Moon and the stars:
in heaven you formed them, clear, precious and beautiful.

Praise be to you, my Lord
for brother Wind, and for the air and the cloud and the clear sky
  and all time,
by which you sustain your creatures.

Praise be to you, my Lord,
for Sister Water, who is very useful and humble,
precious and chaste.

Praise be to you, my Lord
for brother Fire, with whom you light up the night,
and he is beautiful and joyful, and robust and strong.

Praise be to you, my Lord,
for sister Mother Earth, who bears us and nourishes us,
who produces a diversity of fruits, with diaphanous flowers and herbs.

Praise be to you, my Lord
for those who forgive out of love for you,
who endure hardship and sickness:
blessed are those who endure them in peace,
for through you, Most High, they will be crowned.

Praise be to you, my Lord,
for our sister, bodily Death
from which no living man can escape.
Woe to those who die in mortal sin ;
happy are those whom it finds in your most holy wills,
for the second death cannot harm them.

Praise and bless my Lord
give thanks to him and serve him in all humility!
