Many healings took place at the tomb of Saint Hiltrude and a great number of people did not fail to go there on pilgrimage to obtain all kinds of graces.
Saint Hiltrude is invoked to obtain the healing of diseases of the tyroid gland.
The pilgrimage to Liessies was very popular; many pilgrims, after paying their respects to her, went devoutly to draw water from a fountain about half a league away, because an ancient tradition tells us that Saint Hiltrude drank from this water and that God, in his consideration, gave the fountain the property of healing the sick, especially those with fever.

INVOCATION:
Lord, lend an ear to my prayer and hear me; save your servant who hopes in you, have mercy on me, O my God, through the virtues and merits of Saint Hiltrude, because you wanted us to always be able to bless you for your gifts and for your protection. Through Our Lord Jesus Christ. So be it.
Saint Hiltrude, whose prayers and healing water tamed the fever, pray for us.

LET US PRAY:
O my God, consume all my sins in the furnace of your divine love. And by your grace, may I consecrate my whole heart to you in honour of your precious blood, and may I one day approach the port of eternal life. To obtain this favor from you, O Jesus crucified, I want to hide in the wound on your side, and there knock at the door of your mercy. So be it.
