SaintsThis holy bishop is effectively invoked against the dreadful disease of paralysis and apoplexy.
INVOCATION:
Grant, Lord, that we always have the fear and the love of your holy name, because your providence never forsakes those whom you establish solidly in your love, and thus we hope with whole confidence that the merits and the prayers of St. Wolfgang obtain for us the healing and preservation that we ask of you, O my God, through Our Lord Jesus Christ. So be it.
Saint Wolfgang, so powerful in saving us from paralysis and apoplexy, pray for us.
PRAYER:
However miserable, however sinful I am, could I resist you any longer? For me you sacrificed your soul, your body and your blood; and, in return for all you have done for me, you ask for my heart. O mercy of my Jesus, how great is your condescension towards me! O length, O breadth, O height and depth of divine love, how you burst in my eyes in the blood that my Jesus shed for me! Because who am I? a mass of sins, death and dust. And who are you, O Jesus? the king of kings, the Lord of lords, the judge of the living and the dead. And you deign to desire my poor heart, in order to purify it with your blood, and to prepare yourself a dwelling there! Oh! if I had a heart greater than the hearts of all men together, and whose love surpassed that of all angels. So be it.
