Saint Lupence evangelized the pagan lands around Châlons-sur-Marne.
His gentleness, his patience and his virtues won him many souls. But the pagan priests, jealous, spread nasty rumors about him and the calumnies of which he was the victim caused his destruction. The inhabitants, made ferocious by the skillful lies spread against Saint Lupence, rushed at him, stoned him savagely, cut his body into several pieces and threw them in the Aisne.
The infirm who recommend themselves to Saint Lupence have always received great graces from it.

INVOCATION:
O my God and my Father, you who have power and who know how to help me in everything, for you neither forsake nor confound any of those who hope in you; grant, Lord, that, for your glory and the glorification of Saint Lupence, I obtain perfect health and that I may bless and praise you without ceasing.
