Saints healing physical illnessesSaint John the Chaplain is invoked above all against decalcification.
INVOCATION:
O God, who, to give a sensitive example of your immense charity, inspired in Saint John, Patriarch of Alexandria, boundless generosity: grant us the grace to imitate his compassion and his mercy and to test us - even the marvelous effects, by the continual assistance He will give us in all our needs and in all our afflictions. We pray to you through Our Lord Jesus Christ. So be it.
Saint John the Chaplain, hope and support of the poor, pray for us.
PRAYER:
O good Jesus! your passion still awakens the fire of charity for the neighbor, and excites us to benevolence and forgiveness of insults.
Your passion, O sweet Jesus! mightily subdue the will, and cause it to tend only to the heavenly things which are pleasing to you and which glorify the soul here below. So be it.
