Saint Honoratus is invoked to obtain the cure of uremia. He is also invoked to ward off snakes.
Saint Honoratus was born in the Gaul, from a noble and pagan family. But the grace of God put the desire for baptism in his heart very early on. In order to live a secluded life entirely consecrated to God, he took refuge on the island of Lérins; this island, burnt by the sun where only brushwood grew, was infested with snakes. The mere presence of Saint Honoratus made them disappear and the island became a refuge of greenery and freshness.
His holiness brought him to the episcopal see of Arles. This holy prelate died in 429 after having spread around him the treasure of his charities.

INVOCATION:
My God, who granted Saint Honoratus, your faithful servant, the grace to heal the sick suffering from this dreadful disease, I beg you, by his merits and his intercession, to preserve me, in your mercy, from the fatal consequences of this illness. Through Jesus Christ Our Lord. So be it.
Saint Honoratus, refuge and assured help for uremic patients, pray for me, intercede for me, protect me.

PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, allow me to present myself before you; Hear my prayers, and do not let them fall at your feet, without communicating to them something of the fruits of your mercy. Through the mystery of your divine Son crucified for my salvation, I want to pour out my heart in your presence, O Father of mercy and of all consolation! and pray for all those who expect their salvation from you. So be it.
