Saints
Saint Baud is invoked so that a harmonious harmony reigns in the home. He is called upon to restore order in divided homes and to ensure good understanding between family members and especially spouses. He is the mender of legitimate loves. Saint Baud is also invoked for the healing of colic and against toothaches. He is the protector of adopted children. He is specially venerated in Paron (Yonne) where his precious relics are found.
Invocation
O God, who, by an excess of goodness which is proper to you, are always ready to give thanks and to forgive, and who has given us in Saint Baud such a charitable advocate with you, to obtain peace from your heart, l union and charity which should fill all Christian families; deign, by his prayers and his merits, to grant us the grace which we ask of your kindness. Through Our Lord Jesus Christ. So be it.
Saint Baud, who will obtain health of body and soul, and preserve unpleasant enmities, pray for us.
Prayer
I thank you, merciful and merciful God, for giving me a father and a mother who raised, nourished, clothed me, showered me with all kinds of blessings. Alas! I cannot return them all that I have received from their tenderness: please reward them for the immense service and the infinite care they have lavished on me; allow them in their old age to see the blessing of the patriarchs descend upon them, and to feel the increase of their righteousness. Give me also the grace to respect them, to love them and to obey them, so that the promises of your holy commandments may be fulfilled on me. So be it.
