pregnant woman childThis antiphon to Saint Margaret is to be recited by pregnant women in order to give them the strength and courage to patiently endure the changes, pains and worries associated with pregnancy and so that they have a happy birth.
Spouse of Jesus Christ, glorious Margaret, prodigy among virgins, full of heavenly virtue, I beg you to intercede for me before the Almighty, that he may grant me the grace to suffer patiently the bitter evils I endure, that he may deliver me from them, and that he may deign to grant a happy birth to the fruit I bear in my womb, and make it worthy of eternal praise. So be it.
V/. Pray for me, Blessed Saint Margaret,
A/. So that I may become worthy of the promises of Jesus Christ.
Oraison: Lord, who gave the glorious Saint Margaret the strength to suffer the torments of martyrdom, grant me the grace to suffer patiently the pains I endure, so that by imitating her examples I may share in her glory. By the merits of Our Lord Jesus Christ. So be it.
