Psalm 119: has 22 divisions; each division includes 8 verses and a particular power

This psalm is the longest of the psalms; it has several divisions (22). Each division consists of eight verses and a particular power. In order to present it in a clear way, the letter of each division has been placed in front of it.

ALEPH- The eight verses of these letters are to be recited over a person whose limbs are weak and trembling and he will rise again. If someone has made a vow that is difficult for him to fulfil, let him recite this division and he will be able to fulfil his promise easily.

BETH- It is said that by this 2nd division (verse 9 to 16), he who desires to study, to obtain a good memory, a great heart and a broad intelligence. Let him who wishes to attain this goal observe the following guidelines:

"Cook an egg in boiling water, then remove its shell neatly and carefully so that no scar is produced on the outside of the egg and then copy on it the fourth verse of Deuteronomy chapter 33, as well as the eighth verse of JOSUA chapter 1 as well as the Holy Name of the angels CHOSMIEL, SCHWNIEL and MUPIEL. The translation and explanation of these names is not necessary to know because they are NOT to be spoken. But I give you their explanation here anyway, CHOSMIEL means cover me with your shadow or protect me, Mighty God (i.e. the spirit of wisdom and knowledge); SCHWNIEL means change me into a better person (i.e. a better man and woman, as David said "make me reach the degrees of your laws as if I had heard or received them from the mouth of God himself. "

In addition, write on the egg the following prayer: "Open and enlarge my heart and my understanding so that I may understand everything I read and never forget it again.

All these things should be done on a Thursday evening after fasting the whole day, then the whole egg should be put into the mouth and after eating it, the first four verses of the second division of Psalm 119 (from verse 9 to verse 12) should be recited again and successively three times.

GIMEL- This division from verse 17 to 24 of the psalm should be recited 7 times in succession with full confidence in God's power over the diseased eye of a friend and thus it will be healed.

DALETH- By reciting this division (verses 25 to 32) early on, the evil of the left eye can be healed as described above. On the other hand, if you have to decide a question of justice or if you are upset by a change of body (service) or a change of position or if you have to make an advantageous choice, then recite this division successively eight times. On the other hand, if one desires to have the guidance of the assistance of several people to carry out a job successfully, he should recite this division ten times.

HE- This division (verse 33 to 40) has the virtue of helping to avoid sin. A sinner who is accustomed to vice and committing sins and cannot restrain himself from them, despite his good resolutions, will copy these eight verses on parchment and hang it around his neck so that it constantly touches his chest.

VAU- Recite this division (41 to 48) over the water that one will give to his servant or his servant to drink. Thus, the latter will observe all your orders and serve you well.

ZAIN-Two different virtues are attributed to this division (49 to 56). The first is the following: If one of your friends is tormented by melancholy or suffers from the side stitch, write this division with the Holy Name RAPHAEL which means (heal God strong) on parchment and tie it around the neck of the sick person as a talisman and if it is the side stitch, tie it to the place that hurts him.

                If you have been led by evil counsellors to perform work that promises evil results, recite this division 8 (eight) times and you will be able to withdraw from such work safely.

CHETH- Recite this division of this letter (verses 57 to 64) seven times over wine and give it to drink to a person who has cruel pains in the upper part of the body and his ailment will leave him in a little while.

TETH- Recite this division (verse 65 to 72) is an easy remedy for kidney ailments or liver disease. Recite eight times on the sick person.

JOD- If you want to find favor with God and man, recite this division each time immediately after the morning prayer and your wish will be fulfilled. The division goes from verse 73 to verse 80

CAPH- If anyone has a dangerous or incurable wound, let him recite this division (verses 81 to 88) ten times and he will find with wonder that his dangerous wound will begin to heal.

LAMED- If you are compelled to appear before the judge in person, recite this division the day before the day of judgment, after the evening prayer and you will be justified in that judgment (verse 89 to 96).

MEM- To cure sick limbs or paralysis, recite this division (verse 97 to 104) seven times for three successive days in a low voice over the sick limbs and the person will be healed.

NUN- If you intend to travel, recite this division (verses 105 to 112) a few days before undertaking the journey and you will complete it safely and without any danger.

SAMECH- If you have a favour to ask, a favour from a superior, recite this division (verses 113 to 120) before you present yourself and you will not leave the person without being satisfied.

AIN- Like the verses of the letter MEN that we have already mentioned, the verses of this division (verses 121 to 128) can cure the pain of the left arm and hand.

PE- This division has the same effect as the one about healing a wound or nosebleed (verses 129-136)

TSADDI- It frequently happens that people of justice, policemen and gendarmes are forced or reduced to giving false and unjust decisions (in various circumstances) and against their desire and without knowing it. In such a case, they are advised to devoutly recite this division (verses 137 to 144) three times asking God the Judge of Judges, to enlighten them.

KOPH - The mysterious effect attributed to this division (verses 145-152) is that it can heal the sick left leg. These eight verses should be recited over rose oil and anoint the diseased leg with it.

RECH- If you have pain in the right ear, say this division (verse 153 to 160) in a low voice over the juice from the onion juice and put it drop by drop into the ear and you will be relieved.

SCHIN- Against headaches; recite this division (verses 161 to 168) three times over olive oil and anoint the place where one feels the most pain.

TAU - The last division of this psalm (verses 169-176) is to be recited over onion water and dropped into the ear of the sufferer.

                Finally, it is stated at the end of this psalm that whoever feels pain in both arms, sides and legs at the same time should recite the whole psalm in the following order

1- The eight verses of the letter ALEPH, of the letter TAU, and the letter BETH. 2- Those from the letter SCHIN. 3- The division of the letter GIMMEL. 4- The eight verses of the letter RESH. 5- The division DALETH. 6- The division RUF. 7- The division HE.8- The division of ZAIN. 9- That of the letter VAU. 10- The eight verses of the letter PE. 11-Those from the letter ZAIN again. 12-The one from the letter AIN. 13- The eight verses of the letter CHETH. 14- Those from the letter TAMECH. 15- Those from the letter TETCH. 16- Those of NUM. 17- The eight verses of JUD. 18- And finally the divisions of the letters MEM, CAPH and LAMED. This remedy has been tried and proven infallible.
