Recite this psalm before appearing before the judge and you will have grace and favor. If a traveler suddenly finds himself in front of a forest infected with poisonous snakes, scorpions or other reptiles as can easily happen and he thus finds himself exposed to dangers, let him recite this psalm as soon as he arrives in the presence of the forest 7 times and thus, he will be able to complete his journey without danger.

Song of degrees. In my distress I cry to the Lord, and he hears me.

O Lord, deliver my soul from a lying lip, from a deceitful tongue!

What gives you, what does A deceptive tongue bring you?

The sharp features of the warrior, With the burning coals of the broom.

Unhappy that I am to stay at Meschec, To live among the tents of Kedar!

Long enough my soul has dwelt with those who hate peace.

I am for peace; but as soon as I speak, They are for war.
