Psalm 25
25.1
From David. Eternal! I lift up my soul to you.
25.2
My God! in you I confide: that I am not covered with shame! Let my enemies not rejoice over me!
25.3
All those who hope in you will not be confused; Those will be confused who are unfaithful without a cause.
25.4
Eternal! show me your ways, teach me your paths.
25.5
Lead me in your truth, and teach me; For you are the God of my salvation, You are always my hope.
25.6
Eternal! remember your mercy and your goodness; Because they are eternal.
25.7
Do not remember the faults of my youth nor of my transgressions; Remember me according to your mercy, because of your lovingkindness, O Lord;
25.8
The Lord is good and upright; therefore he shows sinners the way.
25.9
He leads the lowly in righteousness, He teaches the lowly his way.
25.10
All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth to those who keep his covenant and his commandments.
25.11
It is because of your name, O Lord! That you will forgive my iniquity, for it is great.
25.12
Who is the man who fears the Lord? The Lord shows him the way he should choose.
25.13
His soul will rest in happiness, And his seed will inherit the land.
25.14
The Lord's friendship is with those who fear him, and his covenant teaches them.
25.15
My eyes are always on the Lord, for he will bring my feet out of the net.
25.16
Look at me and have mercy on me, For I am forsaken and miserable.
25.17
The anguishes of my heart are increasing; Take me out of my distress.
25.18
See my misery and my pain, And forgive all my sins.
25.19
See how many my enemies are, And with what violent hatred they pursue me.
25.20
Keep my soul and save me! May I not be confused, When I seek my refuge with you!
25.21
May innocence and righteousness protect me, When I place my hope in you!
25.22
O God! deliver Israel From all its troubles!
