Lord, we thank you for the gift of motherhood. It is such a great and blessed vocation. Lord, we often forget how much you trust us by placing your precious children in our hands.
Help us to always appreciate the importance of being a mother. Lord, you have given me the vocation of mother; and this precious child, who is yours, Lord, you have entrusted to me.
So teach me to love as You love, teach me to carry out my duties with love so that he can be sure, as he grows up, that his mother will always be there. When the time comes for me to step aside, when he has to make his own decisions,
Please, Lord, hear my prayer, protect him, stay by his side, never leave him alone. Make my trust in your Love grow. Give me your compassion and tenderness, whatever problems he may face; give me the grace to be an ever-present mother. Amen.
