Psalms
Psalm 40
40.1
(40: 1) To the Chief Musician. From David. Psalm. (40: 2) I had placed my hope in the Lord; And he bowed to me, he listened to my cries.
40.2
(40: 3) He took me out of the pit of destruction, From the depths of the mud; And he set my feet up on the rock, he established my steps.
40.3
(40: 4) He put in my mouth a new song, A praise to our God; Many saw it, and feared, and trusted in the Lord.
40.4
(40: 5) Blessed is the man who puts his trust in the Lord, and does not turn to haughty men and liars!
40.5
(40: 6) Thou hast multiplied, O Lord my God! Your wonders and your designs in our favor; No one can compare to you; I would like to publish and proclaim them, But their number is too great for me to relate.
40.6
(40: 7) You desire neither sacrifice nor offering, You have opened my ears; You do not ask for a burnt offering or an atoning victim.
40.7
(40: 8) So I said: Behold, I come With the scroll of the book written for me.
40.8
(40: 9) I want to do your will, my God! And your law is deep in my heart.
40.9
(40:10) I proclaim righteousness in the great assembly; Behold, I do not close my lips, O Lord, you know it!
40.10
(40:11) I do not hold your righteousness in my heart, I proclaim your truth and your salvation; I do not hide your goodness and your faithfulness In the great assembly.
40.11
(40:12) You, Lord! you will not refuse me your mercies; Your goodness and your loyalty will always keep me.
40.12
(40:13) For evils without number surround me; The chastisements of my iniquities come upon me, and I cannot bear the sight of them; They are more than the hairs of my head, And my courage fails me.
40.13
(40:14) Save me, O Lord! Lord, come quickly to my aid!
40.14
(40:15) May they all be ashamed and confused, Those who want my life to take it away! Let them recoil and blush, Those who desire my downfall!
40.15
(40:16) Let them be amazed at the effect of their shame, Those who say to me: Ah! ah!
40.16
(40:17) May all who seek you be glad and rejoice in you! May those who love your salvation say without ceasing: Exalted be the Lord!
40.17
(40:18) I am poor and needy; But the Lord thinks of me. You are my help and my liberator: My God, do not delay!

There are 150 psalms in the Bible and they are attributed to King David. According to some beliefs, each psalm has a key, a secret, which, when used with the psalm, can solve a specific problem.
In the Koran, the Book of Psalms is called the Zabur.
Human beings are in a constant struggle on all levels against the forces of darkness, against the elements of nature and against their fellow human beings.
The psalms can be used by humans in this perpetual struggle against the forces of evil. With the psalms we can praise God, ask for the prosperity of the earth's goods, implore graces and blessings, ask for protection against enemies, defeat enemies, cure physical and spiritual illnesses, ask for help in court trials, for good luck, to ask for God's help in all circumstances, against fire, storms, storms, to have a good journey, etc.
It is important to know, as in everything we can undertake, to have FAITH. For FAITH lifts mountains. With faith, everything can succeed, whatever the obstacles.
