Prayers to Saint Rita, advocate of desperate causes

O Saint Rita, my powerful advocate, here I am at your feet, to implore your protection. See how great and painful are my afflictions, how grave are the dangers that threaten me. I come to you with confidence, and humbly beg you to intercede for me before the Throne of God. Let my prayers and tears touch you, and deign to take up my cause before the God of mercies and all consolations. Speak to him in my favour, beg him not to treat me as my sins deserve, beg him to have pity on my miseries and afflictions. Do this, O you who are the advocate of desperate causes, and who are invoked when all human support is lacking. Do it by the love you had for the Divine Crucified One, which earned you a thorn in your side from his crown. Do it by the glory which you now enjoy in heaven with your divine Spouse. O lovable Saint, my powerful advocate, I entrust to you the triumph of my cause and I trust in you.

O Mighty and Glorious Saint Rita, here at your feet a helpless soul, who, needing help, has recourse to you with the sweet hope of being heard. Because of my unworthiness and past infidelities, I dare not hope that my prayers will succeed in forcing the Heart of God. That is why I feel the need of an all-powerful mediator, and it is you whom I have chosen, Saint Rita, for your

incomparable title of Saint of impossible and desperate cases.

O Dear Saint, take my cause to Heart, intervene with God to obtain for me the grace that I so badly need and that I ardently desire, (put here your request for intercession) Do not allow me to leave you without being heard. If there is something in me that stands in the way of obtaining the grace that I am asking for, help me to remove it. Cover my prayer with your precious merits, and present it to your Heavenly Spouse, in union with yours. Thus presented by you, his faithful wife among the most faithful, you who have felt the pains of his Passion, how will he be able to reject it or not answer it?

All my confidence is therefore in You, and through you I await with a calm heart the fulfillment of my wishes.

O dear Saint Rita, may my confidence and hope in you not be disappointed, do not let my request remain in vain; obtain from God what I ask of You; then I would make known to all the goodness of Your heart and the omnipotence of Your intercession. And You, adorable Heart of Jesus, who have always shown yourselves so sensitive to the small miseries of humanity, allow yourselves to be moved by my needs, and, without looking at my weakness and my unworthiness, grant me the grace which is mine. so much to Heart; and that, for me and with me, Your faithful wife, Saint Rita, asks You. Yes, for the fidelity with which Saint Rita always responded to Divine grace, for all her gifts, with which you wanted to fill her soul, for all that she suffered in her life as a wife, as a mother, and as participant of Your painful Passion, finally, for the extraordinary power of intercession by which You wanted to reward her fidelity, grant me this grace which is so necessary to me.

And You, Virgin Mary, our Good Mother in Heaven, depositary of divine treasures and dispenser of all graces, support with your powerful intercession that of your great friend, Saint Rita, to obtain the desired grace from God.
