This psalm should be recited with respect 7 times a day by those who are to stay in an idolatrous or pagan country, so they will not be forced to renounce their faith.
Psalm 73
73.1
Psalm of Asaph. Yes, God is good to Israel, To the pure in heart.
73.2
However, my foot would give way, My steps were about to slip;
73.3
Because I envied the foolish, Seeing the happiness of the wicked.
73.4
Nothing torments them until they die, and their bodies are overweight;
73.5
They have no part in human suffering, They are not smitten like the rest of men.
73.6
So pride is their collar, Violence is the garment which envelops them;
73.7
Iniquity comes out of their bowels, The thoughts of their hearts are brought to light.
73.8
They mock, and speak wickedly of oppressing; They speak haughty speeches,
73.9
They lift up their mouths to the heavens, and their tongues walk on the earth.
73.10
This is why his people turn to their side, they swallow the water abundantly,
73.11
And he said, How shall God know? How shall the Most High know?
73.12
So are the wicked: Always happy, they increase their wealth.
73.13
It is therefore in vain that I have purified my heart, and that I have washed my hands in innocence:
73.14
Every day I am struck, Every morning my punishment is there.
73.15
If I said: I want to speak like them, Behold, I would betray the race of your children.
73.16
When I thought about it to enlighten me, the difficulty was great in my eyes,
73.17
Until I had entered the sanctuaries of God, And had taken heed of the final fate of the wicked.
73.18
Yes, you put them on slippery tracks, You bring them down and put them in ruins.
73.19
What! in an instant they are destroyed! They are kidnapped, wiped out by a sudden end!
73.20
Like a dream when you wake up, Lord, when you wake up, you reject their image.
73.21
When my heart grew sour, and I felt pierced in my guts,
73.22
I was stupid and without intelligence, I was towards you like animals.
73.23
However, I am always with you, You grabbed my right hand;
73.24
You will lead me with your advice, then you will receive me into glory.
73.25
Who else have I in heaven than you! And on earth I only take pleasure in you.
73.26
My flesh and my heart can be consumed: God will always be the rock of my heart and my share.
73.27
For behold, those who are far from thee perish; You annihilate all those who are unfaithful to you.
73.28
For me, it is my good to draw near to God: I take refuge in the Lord GOD, to declare all your works.
