If you are a soldier going to the battlefield, recite this psalm keeping in mind the Holy Name JAH, and at the end of each recitation of the psalm, say a good suitable prayer with full confidence, in the infinite power of The one who can give victory to whomever he wants. By doing so, you will be able to return home safe and sound.

Psalm 60
60.1
(60: 1) To the Chief Musician. On the lyric lily. Hymn of David, to teach. (60: 2) When he made war against the Syrians of Mesopotamia and the Syrians of Zobah, and Joab returned and defeated twelve thousand Edomites in the valley of salt. (60: 3) O God! you have driven us away, dispersed us, you are angry: raise us up!
60.2
(60: 4) Thou hast shaken the earth, thou hast torn it up: mend its breaches, for it is tottering!
60.3
(60: 5) You have made your people see hard things; You have made us drink with stunning wine.
60.4
(60: 6) Thou hast given to those who fear thee a banner, to be lifted up for the sake of the truth. -Pause.
60.5
(60: 7) So that your loved ones may be delivered, Save by your right hand, and hear us!
60.6
(60: 8) God said in his holiness: I will triumph, I will divide Shechem, I will measure the valley of Succoth;
60.7
(60: 9) To me Gilead, to me Manasseh; Ephraim is the bulwark of my head, And Judah my scepter;
60.8
(60:10) Moab is the basin where I wash myself; I throw my shoe on Edom; Land of the Philistines, cry out for joy over me! -
60.9
(60:11) Who will lead me into the strong city? Who will bring me to Edom?
60.10
(60:12) Is it not you, O God, who have driven us away, and who go out no more, O God, with our armies?
60.11
(60:13) Help us against distress! The help of man is only vanity.
60.12
(60:14) With God we will do great things; He will crush our enemies.
