Mercy
Most Merciful Jesus, Your goodness is infinite and the treasures of Your grace are innumerable. I trust without limits in Your mercy which is underneath all Your works. I give myself to You entirely and without restrictions so that I may live like this and strive for Christian perfection. I desire to propagate Your mercy by performing works of mercy,
as to soul and body, and above all to strive to convert sinners, to bring consolation to the needy and the sick and the afflicted. Protect me, therefore, my Jesus, as your property and your glory. Although I tremble with fear at times when I see my misery, I have unfailing confidence in Your mercy. May all people know Your mercy, while there is still time; may they trust in it and praise it forever. Amen

Mercy comes from the Latin misereri which means to have mercy and cor (heart).
Mercy is the deep attitude of the being characterised by the loving disposition to forgive. Sensitivity to the misery and suffering of others and a fundamental benevolence towards one's neighbour. This is one of the attributes of God that explains his entire plan for the salvation of humanity.
God's goodness is infinite because it is one aspect of his mercy (Ps 86:5).
