Find a job
Lord God, look at us, look at this city.
Look at our families. Lord God!
You had plenty of work, You were a carpenter.
You were happy. Lord, we lack work.
Idols want to rob us of our dignity.
Unjust systems want to rob us of hope.
Lord, don't leave us alone,
teach us to help one another.
May we forget a little selfishness
and feel the "we" in our hearts,
we, the people who want to move forward.
Lord Jesus, there was no lack of work for you,
give us work
and teach us to fight for work
and bless us all.
In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
