Burnout can show up in many ways. The Bible doesn’t diminish this form of pain and suffering. Instead, it recognizes the complexity of it and how it comes upon us. Scripture tells us, “ We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.” (2 Corinthians 4:8-9). In these verses, Paul is referring to multiple types of suffering – mental, physical, emotional and spiritual. What makes this experience complex is the fact that when burnout shows up, several of these types of suffering are often involved which can take a major toll on our spirit. It’s important that we recognize that burnout is a battleground. Yet, we can fight back with the help of God.

It is likely that you will experience burnout in a way that cannot be adequately understood through a single approach. When the complexity of suffering rears us its head, we will find ourselves ill-equipped to deal with the ramifications. However, when we engage with Scripture and understand what the Bible has to tell us about what we’re going through, it can broaden our perspective and enable us to make sense of our circumstances in a new way.

The burnout that someone may be experiencing is an opportunity to minister. The comfort of God that we can extend to others isn’t limited to the church and is not limited to shared experience. Paul writes, “We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to His purpose,” (Romans 8:28).

Paul’s idea is not that we must suffer the same thing as another person in order to minister the hope and comfort of God. What is needed is an experience of deliverance from affliction, comfort in grief and restoration in brokenness. These experiences remind us of who God is and what He can do. They are a silent testimony of healing and wholeness that enable one to invite God to be present in the pain of another.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, help me to bring a person that I know who is suffering out of their pit.
May I be a vessel to help them restore their relationship with You. Amen.

to God

To God, the being above all, nothing is impossible. Everything is possible with him. Whatever difficulties you find yourself in, trust in him, have faith. Pray to him and he will answer you.

Prayers addressed directly to God do not go through any intermediary. He receives them as they are. Some people prefer this type of prayer where they speak, in their hearts, directly to God.

God is present everywhere. Within us and without us. Even when we think we are alone, he is there. He sees us, he listens to us. He knows us better than we know ourselves.

Like a good father with his children, he is compassionate, merciful and always ready to forgive us our failings and sins.

Let us entrust ourselves to him, ask him for the grace to be a reflection of his love for mankind. Let us entrust ourselves to him and be attentive to the different signs and messages that he sends us every day, within us or outside us through our fellow human beings.

difficult causes

Prayers for difficult causes are effective for complicated, desperate or difficult cases. Situations where all seems lost.

If you are going through complicated times, if you think you have already tried everything and your situation does not change, if everything seems to be going against you, try prayers for difficult cases. Pray with faith and fervour.

These prayers are usually attributed to certain saints whose intercession is infallible with God the Father or His Son Jesus Christ.

Whether it is under the intercession of St. Rita, St. Joseph, St. Anne, Padre Pio or other saints, testimonies are pouring in from people all over the world who have experienced the power of God through these prayers for difficult causes.

If you are living in difficult situations, if you have problems that you think are hopeless, if you are in despair over the unpredictable events of life, if you have searched for a long time but have not found what you were looking for, if you have lost the taste for life, try these prayers for difficult causes.

Jesus

Jesus Christ is a central figure in Christianity. He is regarded as the incarnation of God.

The historical existence of Jesus is attested by archaeological research and by the accounts of Roman historians (Flavius Josephus, Tacitus, Suetonius).

At about the age of thirty, Jesus left Nazareth and began an itinerant public life. He calls his disciples and walks with them through Judea and Galilee. He teaches, he heals the sick, casts out demons, walks on water, forgives sins, raises the dead. He is attentive to children. He shares meals, a wedding party, pilgrimages to Jerusalem. He lives as a Jewish believer, goes to the synagogue, observes the Sabbath. He weeps, gets angry, experiences sadness, fatigue and thirst, compassion and even anguish. Jesus is known for his natural authority.

With all the miracles he performed, Jesus is the one to whom prayers should be addressed no matter what difficulties one faces.
