INVOCATION
Joseph said to his brothers, "Please come to me. " And they came near, and he said to them: "I am Joseph your brother, whom you sold to be brought into Egypt. And now do not grieve or regret that you sold me to be brought here, for God has sent me before you for the preservation of your life. For, behold, the famine has been on the earth for two years already, and there will be five more years, during which there will be neither plowing nor reaping.
"But God has sent me before you to sustain you on the earth, and to make you live by a great deliverance. Now therefore, it is not you who sent me here, but God, who made me father to Pharaoh, and lord over all his house, and to rule throughout all the land of Egypt. "Go in haste to my father, and say to him, 'Thus said your son Joseph, God has made me lord over all Egypt; come down to me, and do not be still. And you shall dwell in the land of Gossen, and you shall be with me, you, and your children, and your children's children, and your cattle, and your oxen, and all that is yours. And I will keep you there, for there are still five years of famine, lest you perish by poverty, you and your house and all that is yours.
Holy Quiteria, pray to God that he will heal and preserve this little child for us, just as he returned to Jacob his beloved son Joseph.
