Saints
Saint Bercharius is invoked to dispel dark thoughts and for all mental illnesses.
Saint Bercharius died around 640, near Langres (Haute-Marne) after having devoted his life to the relief of all miseries.
After his death, miracles multiplied at his tomb and crowds flocked to obtain healing from their ailments, relief from their sorrows and sufferings.
They always returned answered and spread far and wide the fame of the holiness of Saint Berchaire.
INVOCATION
Lord Jesus, source from which overflows all mercy, here I am at your feet imploring the help of Saint Bercharius. You know, O my God, how much I wish to obtain my healing for the glorification of even blessed martyr, so that after having experienced the effects of your mercy, you may receive me among the blessed.
We pray to you through Our Lord Jesus Christ. So be it.
Saint Bercharius, whose miraculous virtue is an effective remedy for all kinds of illnesses, pray for us.
PRAYER
O Jesus crucified, I am unworthy, I know, to breathe the perfume which the holy flower of your blood exhales, and yet I ask for his blessing: for with it no temptation can harm me; nothing will take away my peace and serenity of soul; holy patience will make all sorrows and afflictions bearable and even sweet; my desire will be to conform always to your pains and your confusion, O Jesus crucified! And to clothe me, for your glory and for my salvation, with all your humiliations. So be it.
