Saint Augustine is invoked to fight against laziness.
Saint Augustine was born in 354; her mother was Saint Monique. The beginning of his life, despite the holy examples of his mother, passed in various ways until the day, chosen by God, when his heart received divine illumination. He became aware of his sins and therefore lived in repentance, a life of holiness. He was a great philosopher, an exceptional theologian and above all a man of prayer.

Invocation

He said therefore, The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer. God is my rock, I will go back to him; he is my shield and the strength of my salvation; he is my high retreat and my asylum. My Savior, you guarantee me from violence. I will cry unto the LORD who is to be praised, and I will be delivered from my enemies. For the anguish of death surrounded me, and the torrents of the wicked terrified me. The bonds of the sepulcher surrounded me; the death nets surprised me.
Saint Augustine. Strengthen me. Pray for me.

Prayer:
O my Jesus! How hard my criminal heart has been on you so far! Deign to soften him with your blood, so that henceforth he responds to your love with constant love. Pick up in the holy wound on your side my thoughts scattered in the love of the world. So be it.
