Virgin Mary
Mary of Help the Blessed is honored in Barcelona, where people come to pray with her body in the Church of Our Lady of Mercy.
She had a difficult life and was constantly the target of slander. But she drew her strength from the stories of the lives of the saints and God never abandoned her.
She had so much to suffer during her earthly life that one can invoke her in all circumstances with the certainty of being relieved, for she multiplies miracles in favor of the afflicted and of all those who invoke her in their sorrows and in their miseries.
It is invoked against insomnia.
INVOCATION
Please, Almighty God, may the help we await and urge from your goodness, through the merits and prayers of Blessed Mary, fill our hearts with joy; you see our sufferings and our sorrows, O my God; therefore deign to help us, so that we may bless you, praise you, love you on earth and throughout all eternity. By N.-S. AD So be it.
Blessed Mary of Help, so helpful to all those who call on you, pray for us and assist us.
PRAYER
Lord, who cried out: "My Father, I place my soul in your hands", receive my soul mercifully at the time of death. Amen.
