Lord, God of goodness and mercy, who in the world of evil and sin offered the Holy Family of Nazareth to the society of redeemed souls, as a very pure example of piety, justice and love, see how the Family today is under attack from all sides, and how everything is conspiring to desecrate it, taking away its faith, religion and good morals. Help, Lord, the work of your hands. Protect in our homes the domestic virtues, which are the only guarantee of harmony and peace.
Come and get the family advocates on board. Arouse the apostles of the new times who, in your name, thanks to the message of Jesus Christ and the holiness of their lives, remind spouses of fidelity, parents of authority, children of obedience, young girls of modesty, the minds and hearts of all of esteem and love of the home blessed by you.
May the Christian family, restored in Jesus Christ, following the example of the divine Model of Nazareth, find its face again; may every family nest once again become a sanctuary: may the flame of faith be rekindled in every home, which helps to bear adversity with patience and prosperity with moderation, at the same time as it disposes of all things in order and in peace. Under your paternal gaze, O Lord, under the watchful eye of your Providence and under the happy patronage of Jesus, Mary and Joseph, the family will be an asylum of virtues, a school of wisdom, it will be a rest in the harsh weariness of life, a witness to the promises of Christ. In the face of the world, it will give glory to you, Father, and to your Son Jesus, until the day when, with all its members, it will sing your praises for ever and ever. Amen.
