Protection
I seek protection from the Lord against the cursed satan. In the name of Allah the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Alif, Lam, Mim. * This is the Book about which there is no doubt, it is a guide for the pious. * Who believe in the unseen and perform Salat and spend [in obedience to Allah], from what We have ascribed to them * Those who believe in what has been sent down (revealed) to you and what has been sent down before you and who firmly believe in the future life. * These are sure of the right path of their Lord, and it is they who succeed (in this life and in the life to come]. (2-The cow: 1-5)

الم ذَلِكَ الْكِتَابُ لاَ رَيْبَ فِيهِ هُدًى لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ الَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْغَيْبِ وَيُقِيمُونَ الصَّلاةَ وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ يُنفِقُونَ والَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِمَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ وَمَا أُنزِلَ مِن قَبْلِكَ وَبِالآخِرَةِ هُمْ
يُوقِنُونَ أُوْلَـئِكَ عَلَى هُدًى مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ وَأُوْلَـئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ

Protective prayers are prayers that aim to protect from the action of the forces of evil, as the name suggests. The minions of the evil one and all their spawn spend all their time attacking the children of God.
