Invocation to Saint Walter of Pontoise for all kinds of illnesses and more particularly deafness, fevers and madness

Saint Walter was abbot in the church of Saint-Martin in Pontoise. A tireless collector of souls, he was always by mountains and valleys in search of the unfortunate to be rescued, knowing full well that in every poor man he found God. His charity and virtues earned him miracles and these miracles brought him souls that he baptized and offered to God.
At his death the people, who came in crowds to worship him, witnessed innumerable prodigies. He was buried in his church where many sick people found healing.
Saint Walter is invoked for all sorts of diseases, and especially for the deaf, the sick with fevers, and the frantic.

INVOCATION
O God, who have deigned to illustrate your Church by the virtues and merits of Saint Walter, grant your servants the grace to be delivered, through his intercession, from the diseases from which we suffer and from all the unfortunate accidents which disturb our life and which prevent us from coming to you, by the merits of Our Lord Jesus Christ. So be it.
Saint Walter, resplendent with the radiance of countless miracles, pray for the sick whom we recommend to you on this day.

PRAYER
Holy Spirit, comforter and full of goodness, help me, my God, my Lord; I commend my soul, my body and all things that are mine to you. I leave and put in your hands all the progress and the end of my life; grant me the grace to persevere in your holy service, to do penance, and to die in your holy grace. So be it.
