Saints
Saint Aspace is particularly called upon to obtain relief from headaches that arise from abscessed ears.
Saint Aspace, whom nothing particularly distinguished for being the apostle of Christ, nevertheless had a very Christian upbringing and an admirable mother. Touched by grace on his twentieth birthday, since then he has dedicated his whole life to the poor and to God. He zealously spread the gospel of Christ and performed many miracles.
INVOCATION
O God, who willed that blessed Aspace made himself everything to all for the salvation of souls: pour out in our hearts the sweetness of your grace, and grant to our bodies the relief of our sufferings, so that we do not cease to bless you and to praise you throughout all eternity, in the company of this holy bishop, whose intercession we implore. We pray to you through Our Lord Jesus Christ. So be it.
Saint Aspace, special patron against headaches, intercede for us.
PRAYER
O God who sent us your Son, I thank you for his passion, for his death on the cross, for the precious outpouring of his innocent blood, the price of our redemption, for the mystery of his flesh and blood, who every day in the Church nourishes us, quenches our thirst, washes us, sanctifies us and makes us partakers of the divinity. I thank you for the ineffable love you have given us; for you loved the world so much that you gave your only begotten Son, that none who believe in him may be lost, but all may obtain eternal life. Now, eternal life is for us to know you and him whom you have sent by sincere faith and holy works. So be it.
