Attend, as far as possible, mass during the novena. Confession recommended.

Each day: the consecration, the prelude and the daily prayer. (if possible in the morning)

+ In the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen!

Consecration of the day

Let us pray: O divine Heart of Jesus, by taking this “little tour through Purgatory” in your company, we consecrate to You all that we have done and will still do good, with the help of your Grace, during this day. We also ask You to apply all your merits to these holy souls. And you, holy souls in Purgatory, at the same time use all your power to obtain for us the grace to live in love and fidelity to Our Lord Jesus Christ, responding without resistance to his desires for us.
Amen.

Prelude

Let us go down in thought for a moment, with the Love of the Heart of Jesus and the abundance of his Graces, to Purgatory!
1) That souls come there, at this moment, to begin their painful captivity ..! Happy to have avoided hell forever ... They are saved ... But also, exiled, for a time, from their heavenly Homeland.
2) What a holy legion, almost entirely purified, is preparing to fly to Heaven even today! Let us give these souls the last vote which will hasten their happy departure for a few moments and ask them to remember us in the Eternal Kingdom.
Let us pray to Miserere (Psalm 51)
Have pity on me, O God, in your goodness, in your great tenderness erase my sin, wash me completely from all evil and from my fault cleanse me. For my sin, I know it, my fault is before me without respite; against you, you alone, I sinned, which is wrong in your eyes, I did. So that you show your justice when you speak and that your victory appears when you judge.

First day

What do you regret, holy souls in Purgatory, for the land you left?
I regret the time lost… I did not believe it was so precious, nor so fast, nor so irreparable… If I had known… If I could still ..! Precious time ..! Today, I appreciate you the way you deserve. You had been given to me to be used entirely for the love of God, for my sanctification, for the relief and edification of my neighbor. But I have employed you in pleasure and in works which now cause me such bitter regrets!
O you who still live on earth, consecrate for us, to the Heart of Jesus, some of those hours when grace is offered to you in such abundance and with such ease! Thank you in advance.
Let us pray: O Lord, Almighty God, we beseech You, through the very precious Blood of Jesus, shed during his Passion, to deliver souls from Purgatory, and especially those who must enter your Glory the earliest, so that they begin now to bless You throughout eternity and to intercede tirelessly for us. Amen. Sweet Heart of Mary, be our salvation.
An Our Father and a Hail Mary.
In the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen!

Second day

What do you regret, holy souls in Purgatory, for the land you left?
I regret the lost goods ... My fortune, my health, my talents, my position in the world: all of this would have been a powerful means of salvation for me, if I had wanted to use it to the glory of God. All these goods vanished in my eyes at the time of death! Ah! if I were rich today in these perishable goods, what would I not give to advance by one degree the glory that God reserves for me in Heaven and to make known, here below, the devotion to his Sacred Heart? .
O you who, on earth, still have some fortune, you will be asked to account for it… Think about it… Use it according to justice, piety and charity. Pay off your debts to the living and to the dead.
Amen!

Third day

What do you regret, holy souls in Purgatory, for the land you left?
I regret the despised grace ... It has been offered to me in such abundance, at every moment of my life: Christian regeneration, vocation, sacraments, Word of God, holy inspirations, good examples, distinguished favors of forgiveness after the Fall. What graces! Ah! if I had only, for a single moment, the freedom to quench my thirst for those springs of Mercy which spring from the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and which sinners and the indifferent despise!
O you on earth! Listen to Saint Margaret Mary saying to you from heaven: 'There is no one in the world who cannot feel all kinds of help, if he really had, for Jesus Christ, a grateful love, such as that Testify to him through devotion to his Sacred Heart. '
Amen!

for deceased

Losing a loved one is often a daunting ordeal.
If we consider death as the end of biological life, it is also a passage to the fullness of real life. Praying for a deceased person is asking that he or she may experience this passage of heavenly joy. Remember these words from Sacred Scripture: "It is a holy and wholesome thought to pray for the dead, that they may be delivered from their sins" (2M 12:46).
