Intercessory prayer
God, the Almighty Father, renews us and strengthens us at every age of life by the youth of his grace.
Let us beg him with confidence:
A Stay with us, Lord.
You revealed your Son, the Child Jesus, to the two elders who awaited the redemption of Israel; grant to your servants to see your face with the eyes of faith in the joy of the Holy Spirit.
Through your Son, you have promised rest and peace to all who are overwhelmed by fatigue and grief; give your servants the courage and the patience to carry their cross every day.
You do not separate anyone from your Father's love, your heart is only kindness to all; grant your servants courage and patience with their relatives and friends.

You show more love to those you find less fortunate; teach our society to recognize and respect the dignity of the elderly.
