O Spirit! oh love! O truth, who are my God! come and make a new creation in my soul; come, it opens up to you without reservation; come, for she is poor, stripped, abandoned. Bring it light and peace, pour out love there like living water that springs up to eternal life. I surrender myself entirely to your conduct, O Holy Spirit! too often, alas! I resisted you or I did not want to listen to your voice; but from now on I will obey you faithfully.
My heart is your domain, do as you please. Rise like the aquilon to destroy my passions and overturn all my designs; come like a gentle and refreshing wind to console my soul. I surrender to your conduct with a confidence which makes me happy and which will ensure my salvation. Yes, you are in charge, and I am only too happy to obey.
O Eucharist, admirable sacrament which gives me my God! Sun of love which warms my soul, shines on all the days of my pilgrimage; be ceaselessly my light, my life, my treasure, my happiness; be my hope, support my courage, wipe my tears, soften my sorrows, and that on my last day, your divine and beneficent rays come again to warm my heart already frozen by the embrace of death, and to give a glimpse to my eyes extinct, some of the splendours of this eternal day, of this immortal and glorious life of which you are for me the pledge and the hope. So be it.
