Ah! my God,
thank you for what
you allow me to be
at your feet right now,
and not in hell
where I deserved to go so many times.
But what good would life be for me
that you keep me,
if I continued to live
in the deprivation of your grace?
Ah! let it be no longer so.
I abandoned you
I lost you,
O my sovereign Good;
I feel sorry for it;

but your prophet makes me hear
