Understanding family Couple Life
Lord, you give us the grace to live as a family. Accept the slowness of our journey. Give us the patience to accept the journey of others. Make us humble enough to allow the members of our family to help us, and open enough to help them themselves.
Give us the ability to love each other, together and to the end, with kindness and with high standards. When difficulties arise in the family, help us to recognise our failings and difficulties with clarity, and with your grace to combat them. Mary, mother of us all, we place the ribbon of our lives in your hands. See the "knots" that choke our lives and paralyse us, help us to undo them as a family under the action of the Holy Spirit. Amen

Understanding between people is a very important element that conditions peace and cohesion. The Evil One knows this and always seeks to create divisions and conflicts. Satan knows that he has to rely on misunderstanding in his malicious aims. His main objective is therefore to destroy families. Because he knows that in the family, if there is mutual understanding between all family members, he will never succeed in any of his evil deeds. So he pits brothers and sisters against each other, children become disobedient and see their parents as enemies. Wars are created between families, neighbours, clans, countries, religions...
In order to prevent Satan, the terrible evil one before the Lord, from achieving his objectives of harm, we must seek to cultivate and perpetuate Understanding in our living environments, in our families, in our countries...
Prayer remains at the base, the only and most powerful weapon that can infuse us with the inner peace that will transform us, making each of us an instrument of peace that will spread understanding and harmony around us.

Living as a couple is generally the destiny of most people. However, life as a couple is often far from a smooth ride. Negative forces, knowing all the power and all the benefits that are generated when there is understanding in a couple, set about sowing discord, misunderstanding and all kinds of ills. Problems in a couple are always devastating: stress leading to malaise, illness, loss and imbalance of children, etc.
To deal with these problems, prayer is one of the fundamental elements that couples should make their own. Isn't it written that "if two of you agree on earth to ask for anything, it will be granted to them by my Father in heaven" (Mt 18:19)?
