For all our priests,

For those who have baptised us,

For those who have given us the Bread of Life,

For those who have dispelled our doubts,
Lord, we pray.
For those who have reconciled us,
Lord, we pray.
For those who have taught and encouraged us,
Lord, we pray.
For the saints and for the sinners,
Lord, we pray.
For those who have helped us and for those who have hurt us,
Lord, we pray.
To the priests who serve You with love,
give Your strength, Lord.
To priests who are tempted and tested
give Your strength, Lord.
To priests persecuted and slandered
give Your strength, Lord.
To priests who waver in their faith, give strength, Lord,
give Your strength, Lord.
To priests who are old and sick
give Your strength, Lord.
To priests who are discouraged and full of plans
give Your strength, Lord.
To priests who are unfaithful to their promises
give Your strength, Lord.
That they may be shepherds after Your own heart,
please hear us.
That they may persevere in prayer,

That they may follow the way of Your commandments,
please hear us.
That they may proclaim Your Gospel with vigour,

That they may do the right thing by each one,

That they may be merciful to sinners,

That they may have love for the least of these,

That they may bear with patience with the frail,

That they may have compassion on the sick, please hear us,

That they may have the grace to be all things to all people,

That we may know how to support them,
