Lord, I believe in You, I want to believe in You.
O Lord
make my faith complete and unreserved,
and may it penetrate my thinking,
in my way of judging
divine things and human things;
O Lord, may my faith be free;
may it express the best of my personality:
I believe in You, Lord;
O Lord, make my faith strong,
may it not fear adversity
but may it be strengthened
by the proof of your truth,
may it grow stronger continually
by overcoming the difficulties
in which our temporal existence unfolds.
O Lord, make my faith joyful
and give peace and joy to my spirit,
enabling it to pray with God
and to converse with men,
so that the inner bliss
the inner bliss of its happy possession;
O Lord, make my faith humble
and bear witness to the Holy Spirit,
and that it has no other guarantee
than in docility to Tradition
and to the authority of the Magisterium of Holy Church.
Amen.
