Saint Eugenie is invoked more specifically against hiccups.
Saint Eugenie was born in Spain during the long Arab occupation. Highly affirming her Christian faith and refusing to recant it, this virgin martyr was beheaded in the year 257 A.D., during the reign of the Emperor Valerian. A document from the 7th century indicates that her tomb was erected in the Basilica of Saint Eugenia.

INVOCATION :
Through the intercession of Saint Eugenie, may the Lord deign to accept my prayer. Come, Almighty Sanctifier, eternal God, and bless me so that I may be purified in soul and body and give glory to your holy Name.
Glory be to the Father (+), to the Son (+), and to the Holy Spirit (+). So be it.
Saint Eugenie, pray for me.
