Whoever sincerely desires to repent of his sins and devote his life to serving God, may he recite this psalm every day after morning and evening prayers; then his heart and his spirit will be renewed and he will become united with God day by day.
Psalm 135
135.1
Praise the Lord! Praise the name of the Lord; praise him, you servants of the Lord,
135.2
Who stand in the house of the LORD, in the courts of the house of our God?
135.3
Praise the Lord! for the Lord is good. Sing to his name! because it is favorable.
135.4
For the Lord has chosen Jacob for himself, Israel, to be his own.
135.5
I know that the Lord is great, and that our Lord is above all gods.
135.6
Whatever the Lord wills he does, in the heavens and in the earth, in the seas and in all the depths.
135.7
He causes the clouds to rise from the ends of the earth; He brings forth lightning and rain; He draws the wind from His treasuries.
135.8
He smote the firstborn of Egypt, both man and beast.
135.9
He sent signs and wonders among you, Egypt! Against Pharaoh and against all his servants.
135.10
He struck down many nations, and slew mighty kings,
135.11
Sihon king of the Amorites, Og king of Bashan, and all the kings of Canaan;
135.12
And he gave their land for an inheritance, an inheritance to Israel his people.
135.13
Eternal! your name endures forever, O Lord! your memory lasts from generation to generation.
135.14
For the LORD will judge his people, and he will have mercy on his servants.
135.15
The idols of the nations are silver and gold; they are the work of the hand of men.
135.16
They have a mouth and do not speak, They have eyes and do not see,
135.17
They have ears and do not hear, They have no breath in their mouth.
135.18
They are like them, those who make them, All those who trust in them.
135.19
House of Israel, bless the Lord! House of Aaron, bless the Lord!
135.20
House of Levi, bless the Lord! You who fear the Lord, bless the Lord!
135.21
Bless the Lord from Zion, Who dwells in Jerusalem! Praise the Lord!
