Saint Urban was bishop of Langres in the 5th century.
His life was spent in the practice of all the virtues. He lived like a saint, fasted like a monk and brought everything to the glory of God. Favoured by the gift of miracles, he healed all the unhappy people who came to him.
He was invoked against heart pains.
His venerable body was, after his death, transported to Dijon, as he had desired because of his great devotion to Saint Benign, and deposited in the Basilica of Saint John the Baptist.
During his life, the gift of miracles added a deserved radiance to his holiness.

INVOCATION:
O God, who make appear in the upheavals of nature the greatness of your anger which our sins have stirred up against us, nevertheless have mercy on what we suffer, and make the prayers and the merits of Saint Urban a source of salvation and preservation for the goods of the earth that we have from your liberality, we beseech you through Our Lord Jesus Christ. So be it.
Saint Urban, who deliver us from heart pains, obtain healing for us.
Saint Urban, whom we never invoke in vain, pray for us, protect us.

PRAYER:
So sink in my wounds, O good Jesus! this celestial remedy, so that the venom of the infernal serpent loses its virtue, and that I recover my primary health; that, full of the feeling of your gentleness, I sincerely despise all the pleasures of the world, and that I fear no suffering for you. Do not leave me anything, I beg of you, that is lovable, agreeable to me, nothing that is precious to me, nothing that is attractive to me without you; may everything without you be small and worthless to me; may all joy that is not intended for you be painful to me, and may all suffering for you be joy to me; May your name be a refreshment to me, and may your memory be a consolation to me. So be it.
