O my God, who is charity itself and who loved me so much. Come and ignite me with love for you; spread in my heart the feelings of the love you have carried me and make me love you with all the ardor of which I am capable.

You are my beloved, the rock and the sharing of my soul. Your perfections are infinite; the blessings which you have bestowed upon me are without number and those which I still await from your grace are inestimable. So everything invites me to love you. But my heart is corrupt; my heart is attached to the world.

O God, untie this heart from the earth; lift him up to you; draw it to you and embrace it with your heavenly flames so that I can love you as you have loved me; that I adore you as the Holy Angels and that one day I will be with you forever. So be it.
