Forgiveness Resisting temptation Success defeat enemies eternal life
1st prayer
O Jesus, my Redeemer!
I hope, by the merits of your blood,
that you will forgive me my trespasses,
and that I will give you thanks
forever in the sky.
I will sing forever
the mercies of the Lord. "(Ps. LXXXVIII, 2.)
I see that,
if I have often succumbed,
it's because I neglected
to ask you for holy perseverance;
I ask you today.
I will always ask you for it,
especially when I see myself
in danger of offending you.
It is there, Lord,
what I propose to myself.
But what would I use
the resolution that I form,
if you didn't grant me grace
to run to your feet,
to ask for your support?
Don't deny it to me,
Oh my God!
Suffer that I recommend myself to you
in all my necessities.
O Mary, Queen and Mother of men!
in the name of your love for Jesus Christ,
obtain for me the grace that I ask for.
2nd prayer
Eternal God,
I love you
and thank you for creating me,
and saved by means of Jesus Christ,
for waiting for me when I was in sin;
for forgiving me so many times,
and preserved from so many faults
in which I would have fallen
if you had not helped me by your grace.
But my enemies will never cease
to fight me to the death;
if you don't lend me your support,
I run the risk of offending you
even more than before.
For the love of Jesus Christ,
give me holy perseverance.
Jesus Christ promised us
that you would grant us
all the graces
that we would ask you on his behalf.
So i ask you
by the merits of your Son
the grace of not moving away from you.
I ask you the same grace
for all men
who enjoy your friendship.
I am sure that,
if i keep asking you
holy perseverance,
I will get it,
because you promised
to answer those who implore you.
But I'm afraid to overlook the opportunities
to recommend me to you,
and thus expose myself to losing you.
I ask you,
in the name of Jesus and Mary,
the grace of never ceasing to pray.
Make that in my temptations
I always have recourse to you,
invoking the names of Jesus and Mary.
I hope so,
Oh my God! to die in your grace,
and go to love you in paradise
where I will be sure not to separate myself from you,
and to love you for all eternity.
So be it.

Many of us have experienced offences that have shaken us so badly that it has not been easy to forgive. Frustrated, heartbroken and resentful, we wish harm and seek revenge. In these attitudes, we hurt ourselves even more. Whatever damage you have suffered, forgive and entrust yourself to God who, through the Holy Spirit, will be able to inspire you and guide you in order to avoid or overcome the nuisances of malicious people.
