His life was a series of miracles; Only a hundred years ago there was a fountain in Epagny, near Soissons, the virtue of which cured fevers and restored health to the sick. This fountain was called the fountain of the foot of Saint Anséry, because it is at the saint's prayer that this water gushes out under his foot.
