Against unemployment, job loss
Great Saint Joseph, protector of the child Jesus, nurturer of God, it is to you that we turn and cry out: hear our call from the depths of our misery.
With your hands you earned the bread of the Lord our God, you fed the Virgin and taught your adopted Son the art of carpentry. Teach me too, who am the brother (sister) of Jesus, how to earn my bread by the work of my hands. You, good St. Joseph, who made so many doors; make, I beg you, that the doors where I will knock open before me. May the wood of the Cross be my seal and my guarantee, a guard on my lips so that my words may be of trust and strength.
Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Recite this prayer for 9 days. In honour of Saint Joseph, make a loaf of bread. Eat this bread the following Sunday (after Mass) by sprinkling it with wine.
