Lord, "Keep me as the apple of the eye
Under the shadow of your wings, hide me from the wicked who have ruined me, from the deadly enemies who surround me" (Ps 17:8-9).
Keep me, O God
I have made you my refuge.
I have said to the Lord, "You are my God!
I have no other happiness than You" (Ps 16:1-2).
"Lord, my portion and my cup, on You depends my fate.
The portion that is mine is my delight;
I have even the most beautiful inheritance!
I bless the Lord who advises me.
Even at night,
my heart warns me.
I keep the Lord before me continually;
He is at my right hand; I am steadfast.
My heart rejoices, my soul is glad, my flesh itself rests in safety,
Thou canst not leave me to die, nor let thy friend see corruption.
You teach me the way of life: before your face, overflowing joy!

Pliya Jean was a Beninese man born on 21 July 1933 in Djougou (Benin) and died on 14 May 2015 in Dakar (Senegal). A geography teacher and writer, he was in charge of the J.E.C. (Jeunesse Etudiante Chrétienne) and the Catholic Action of Families) - University of Toulouse - France.
Jean Pliya represented Africa as a lay person at the 1994 Synod of Bishops of Africa and Madagascar in Rome. He was National Leader of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in Benin. A renowned evangelizer and preacher, Jean Pliya has worked in Senegal, Guinea, Mali, Niger, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Togo, Gabon, Central African Republic, Cameroon, Belgium, Luxembourg, Italy, Switzerland, France, America, Reunion Island, French Guiana and Martinique.
Its publications in the field of spiritual warfare are reputed to be effective in view of numerous testimonies throughout the world.
