Saint Clare of Assisi is invoked to obtain the healing of eye ailments.
Saint Clare of Assisi was born in Assisi on July 14, 1194 to a very good family. Strongly impressed by Saint Francis, she confided in him her desire to devote herself entirely to God. Despite her father's prayers and orders, she locked herself in a convent where the story of the rigid rule attracted many young people eager to live in God.
Spiritual sister of Saint Francis, she directed her convent in the same direction, not wanting the convent to own land or property. Confiding completely in the goodness of God, she nevertheless had the bread necessary for the life of her Community every day. She died in 1253 after a holy life of mortifications.

INVOCATION:
O God, who give us as friends and protectors your blessed saints, whose hearts are filled with zeal and charity for us, deign, I beseech you, grant us our healing through the merits and the prayers of Saint Clare, in order to may we also in the company of your saints bless you eternally in heaven. So be it.
Saint Clare, who enlighten the blind, answer the prayers that we address to you with confidence.

PRAYER:
O my Jesus! Your cross must also be my most precious possession, since it is the salvation of the world, the marvelous sign of your goodness, the light of those who go astray, the beatitude of the heart, the star of peace, desire and the consolation of the afflicted, the victory of the saints, the ornament of the righteous, and the gate of paradise. So be it.
