PRAYER
Yes, great God, you will not abandon me, it is for the sake of your glory that I ask you. O my God, you are righteous; you see that my imprudence or my pride has no part in the storm which has arisen against me: therefore command the winds and the angry waves to be silent, and deliver me from the abyss which seems quite ready to swallow me up: but hurry, Lord, the danger is pressing; you have made me feel my weakness enough; my loss, alas! is certain, if you do not come to my aid promptly. So be it.
